Caltex Brings Fuel That Powered A World Record to Malaysians

Malaysians can now experience the fuel that powered a world record at their neighbourhood Caltex service station. Brought to you by Chevron Malaysia Limited, Caltex with Techron ® recently powered a 28-year-old car up a 1,000m ascent in record time, setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the ‘Fastest Ascent of Doi Chang Mountain Road by Car’. Revealed through the ‘Record Rides’ two-part series on National Geographic, with Caltex as the sole presenting partner, the attempt was part of Caltex’s Fuel Power Challenge. It saw Jamaican-Chinese professional race car driver, Natasha Chang, and television host, KC Montero, compete against the clock to reach the summit of Doi Chang Mountain in record time.
