Asian Seed Congress Turns 26 in Kuala Lumpur

No fewer than 1,400 delegates from more than 50 countries are set to attend the 26th Asian Seed Congress, scheduled 25 – 29 November in the Malaysian capital. Organized jointly by the Asia and Pacific Seed Alliance (APSA) and the National Seed Association Malaysia (NSAM), the region’s premier seed industry meeting will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).  The location of the meeting rotates among APSA member countries yearly in cooperation with a National Organizing Committee (NOC) of the designated host country.  This year’s NOC is steered by NSAM in partnership with Malaysia’s Department of Agriculture Malaysia (DoA), the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and with support from Malaysia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau.  The for-members and by-invitation-only event features business meetings, en

Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta sets sail for the 30th time

The Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (RMSIR) celebrates another milestone with its 30 th anniversary this year. This year’s RMSIR kicked off with the opening dinner at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club (RSYC) this evening. The fleet sets sail tomorrow where the participating boats will push off from the starting point in Port Klang. HH Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah will be sailing with the fleet onboard the boat Fujin . The boats will sail in overnight passage races along Malaysia’s west coast and compete in inshore harbour races from 16 to 23 November 2019.   Known as “the regatta with everything”, the RMSIR is Asia’s second oldest race and Southeast Asia’s most challenging sailing event.
