Hock Kee Marks a New Chapter with Its 10th Outlet in Bukit Bintang City Centre

Hock Kee Group is delighted to announce the opening of its 10th outlet in Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), a vibrant urban destination in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Known for its unique blend of modernity and culture, BBCC offers the perfect setting for Hock Kee to continue sharing the authentic Malaysian flavours.

This milestone is particularly meaningful as it marks Hock Kee’s third collaboration with EcoWorld, following the recent opening of its 9th outlet at Eco Botanic, Johor and 8th outlet at Sanctuary Mall, Klang. To show our appreciation, Hock Kee is pleased to offer a 8% discount on the total bill for EcoWorld staff. We are deeply grateful to EcoWorld for their continued support and partnership, as we work together to bring joy to the EcoWorld communities and the public in these dynamic regions. We are honored to have Dato' Chang Khim Wah, Executive Director, President & Chief Executive Officer of EcoWorld Malaysia, join us as the ribbon-cutting guest to celebrate this meaningful occasion.

Opening our 10th outlet is not just a number to us—it’s a testament to the trust and love our customers have shown us over the years. “This achievement reminds us to keep doing our best, with heart and sincerity in everything we do,” shared Nick Ng, founder of Hock Kee. “While this is a proud moment, it is just one step forward in a journey that we are excited to continue.”

As we celebrate this new chapter, we’re also excited to share the little joys of Hock Kee through our range of thoughtfully crafted merchandise and festive goodies. From our signature “福氣咖啡” (Hock Kee Coffee) and “福氣白咖啡” (Hock Kee White Coffee) to traditional hand-pulled pan mee noodles and the newly launched crispy fish skin snack, these items are more than products—they are an extension of the warmth and tradition we wish to bring to every table. This year, we’re also introducing a selection of Chinese New Year cookies, ranging from classic to innovative flavours, available at Hock Kee outlets. As gifting during the Chinese New Year is a cherished tradition in Chinese culture, these treats make for meaningful and heartwarming presents for your loved ones. Whether as festive gifts or simple tokens of care, they are made with heart and sincerity, just like our food.

While the 10th outlet is a milestone, we remain committed to staying true to our roots, serving the most authentic Malaysian flavours, and continuously improving everything we do. Looking ahead, Hock Kee also plans to expand internationally, introducing its unique flavours to a global audience.

The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets...
