Good food, good place, and good neighbours at Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya

Taman Megah ticks all the right boxes for potential homeowners looking for their forever home: a strategically located matured neighbourhood, ample F&B options, and a unique close-knit community within a bustling urban landscape.

Taman Megah is well known as a foodie’s haven, surrounded by plentiful choices of cuisines, from coffee shops and restaurants, including favourites like dim sum and the famous Fatty Crab restaurant.

A unique sense of camaraderie amongst the local community makes the area a taman where family, friendship and food come together.

As the latest mixed development located in the heart of Taman Megah, Megah Rise hopes to revitalize this beloved neighbourhood by opening the doors to over 220 new families.

"As the only freehold high rise in the area, Megah Rise brings breathtaking city views, quality fittings and fixtures and spacious layouts, with built-up sizes up to 1,747 sq ft,” said PPB Properties’ Head of Sales and Marketing, Cassendra Chong.

"During these challenging times, it has become increasingly important for families who now value more space. We offer some of the largest units in the area, perfect for multi-generational families looking for plenty of space to grow," Chong said.

Designed as a community-centric neighbourhood mall, the four-storey retail space located adjacent to Megah Rise is curated as a placemaking space in Taman Megah. With 145,000 sqft net lettable area, an estimated 100 retail lots will welcome homegrown brands, varied dining options, a premium grocer, and a communal space. The retail space will house a multipurpose hall with badminton courts, bringing back a beloved community hangout in Taman Megah.

The upcoming retail space will also have alfresco outdoor dining spaces. Better yet, the residential tower and certain common areas at the retail mall’s ground floor are pet-friendly!

The development will also bring more than 400 parking lots to ease the parking difficulties in the surrounding bustling commercial area of Taman Megah.

PPB Properties, the developer of Megah Rise, remains committed to serve the community by curating each development for the needs of each neighbourhood.

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
