This collaboration with ShopeePay and Touch ‘n Go eWallet allows Malaysian youth to get more value from the Government’s e-Belia programme, while also encouraging the younger generation to go cashless.”

“We have a wide range of products that students and young adults need to learn, including stationery items, and computer and mobile accessories. This will allow Malaysian youth to continue to fulfil their lifestyle and study needs without burning a hole in their pockets. It’s yet another way for us to deliver on our promise of “Always Low Prices”, and we thank ShopeePay and Touch ‘N Go for working with us to make it happen,” added Chin.

eBelia recipients can use the vouchers to purchase a myriad of products, including food and beverage, health & personal care products, computer accessories, household products and more.

The eBelia programme is an initiative by the Government under Budget 2021, coordinated by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia. The programme aims to encourage the usage of cashless payment systems among the youth. Eligible tertiary education students aged 18 to 20 years old can claim an e-Wallet credit of RM150 from any one of the four participating eWallet platforms: ShopeePay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Boost, and BigPay. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200.
