Desaru Coast to Malaysians: “Don’t Join the Crowd!”

As the government encourages domestic tourism following the easing of travel restrictions, Desaru Coast Destination Resort (“Desaru Coast”), the nation’s largest integrated and curated destination has a simple yet meaningful message for all holidaymakers and domestic travellers – “Don’t Join The Crowd”.

The campaign promotes decoupling from densely populated areas and leverages on the destination’s wide-open spaces spanning across 3,900 acres along a 17-km unspoiled beachfront and curated activities that embrace the new norm for safety and peace of mind.

“We highly applaud the government’s decision to ease travel restrictions and encourage tourism locally. The operating landscape for travel and hospitality has evolved with greater emphasis on health and safety precaution measures. This shared social responsibility is critical to resuscitate the domestic tourism industry while promoting safe travel behaviour and experience. In this regard, Desaru Coast prioritises the safety measures by limiting capacity across all its resort components while offering wide open spaces for guests to enjoy, away from the madding crowd typically  associated with cities,” said Roslina Arbak, Managing Director of Desaru Development Holdings One Sdn Bhd.

“With a portfolio of globally renowned hotels and resorts (Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast, The Westin Desaru Coast Resort and Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas), one of the biggest waterparks in the world, a conference centre. For the golf enthusiasts, our championship designed golf course overlooks the South China Sea with three 9-hole courses offering unique variability of play, designed to place a premium on a sharp short game. The overall destination resort is curated with the perfect escape in mind for the ultimate rejuvenation aspiration – all nestled within a rich bio-diverse location which is easily accessible via road, air and sea,” she adds.

With so much to offer in such a wide expanse of space, Desaru Coast is truly the ideal escapade for even the most discerning of holidaymakers. One can certainly look forward to an unforgettable, stress-free and most importantly, safe holiday experience with so much  to suit just about any taste. The only problem you’d probably have is having to leave!

To make the prospect of a holiday at Desaru Coast even more enticing, the “Don’t Join The Crowd” campaign presents holidaymakers with two enhanced packages – the Sun-tastic Getaway and Golf Galore @ Desaru Coast - offering savings of up to 60%. These limited-time offers are valid until 23 December 2020. However, bookings have to be made by 31 August 2020.

The Sun-tastic Getaway promotion packages start from RM689 onwards for a two-days, one night stay for two adults and two children with curated activities within the destination and around greater Desaru. This includes education-enriched nature-based programmes ranging from a visit to the fruit farm, individual ATV (All-terrain-vehicle) experience, mangrove exploration to trekking at the Panti Forest Reserve,” explains Roslina.

“The Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) augurs well for business travellers and domestic tourists to help jumpstart our path towards economic recovery. Since the announcement of the RMCO, we have been receiving encouraging response from the domestic market as people start planning for short vacations after being restricted to their homes for so long,” she added.

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches.
