PIZZA HUT CELEBRATES MALAYSIA’S DIVERSE MELTING POT OF CULTURE WITH THE LAUNCH OF NASI LEMAK PIZZA

As we slowly adjust to the new normal, Pizza Hut draws inspiration from Malaysia’s rich culture and love for everything fusion in their lives, ranging from cuisine to language and way of living. This is especially accurate when it comes to food, as Malaysia celebrates their riveting ethnic diversity by mixing and merging various cultural influences to create new Malaysian fusion food that is uniquely delicious.
The one of a kind Malaysian’s ‘campur’ culture has inspired the creation of Nasi Lemak Pizza and the campaign tagline of “Rasa Campur, Lagi Bes Bersama” as a special homage to our rich and unified cultural diversity.
“We Malaysians are better when we ‘campur’ things together and Nasi Lemak Pizza is the example of how we ‘campur’ things in our lives, mixing everything together and merging in unity, just like our Nasi Lemak Pizza; a harmonious combination of Pizza and Nasi Lemak,” said Emily Chong, Chief Marketing Officer of Pizza Hut Malaysia.
To kick off the campaign, Pizza Hut paid tribute to its fellow competitors whom have embraced the Malaysians ‘campur’ culture in their special and exciting ways; for example;  McD with their “Nasi Lemak Burger”, Marrybrown with its “Nasi Lemak Ice Cream”, and many more. The campaign will run until 31 August, in lieu with Merdeka Day, in celebration of our beautiful fusion culture that has enriched our unique and diverse nation.
Created by Pizza Hut Malaysia’s Food Innovation Technologist team, the Nasi Lemak Pizza features signature pizza topped with spicy sambal with a kick, perfectly paired with crispy chicken chunks and Nasi Lemak must have condiments such as anchovies, peanuts and cucumbers. The pizza further delights your taste buds with a golden pocket filled with fragrant coconut flavoured chicken and delicious cheesy goodness. It’s truly a must try for all Nasi Lemak lovers out there.
You can indulge in the Nasi Lemak Pizza ala carte at RM38.90 and also via various meal combos with the starting price of RM40.90. Also introduced to complement the pizza is a delicious drink called Soda Bandung, which is a new take on the classic Sirap Bandung with a fizzy twist.

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
