The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is back yet again, but it’s bigger and better! This year’s Carnival-themed Sale is powered by the official banking partner, OCBC Bank. It will be happening for 264 hours straight over 11 days from 6 – 16 December 2019 at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC). With 4.5 million books on offers up to 75% – 95% off recommended retail price, over 50,000 book titles available and FREE entrance, the Sale is not to be missed!

An ambitious dream of changing the world one book at a time brought Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng from a humble beginning of offering only 100,000 books on Sale at their first Book Sale to over 4.5 million books today at The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Kuala Lumpur 2019. The homegrown brand, recognised as the World’s Biggest Book Sale, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has shared the joy of reading to millions across 32 cities in 10 countries. After a successful year of making books affordable and accessible, the Sale returns to Kuala Lumpur celebrating its 10th anniversary with spectacular deals and rewards in store as an appreciation to fellow Malaysians.

The Carnival does not just end there, The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale this year has lots more in store for everyone, a designated food and beverage section to satisfy your tummy equipped with a trolley parking service, an entire activity area hosted by OCBC that includes a relax and unwind section where one can recharge with a massage, complimentary manicure and pedicure, and relax at the entertainment centre after their book hunt. There is a health and wellness corner for complimentary health and eye checks, free private consultations from specialist of various fields and finally, the parents’ favourite – children fun and games section packed with various workshops to keep the young ones occupied including creative craft, drawing and colouring, and even G-Clay workshops.

Staying true to the objective of making reading available for everyone and to fight illiteracy, especially in rural areas, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, Red Readerhood (RRH) works alongside local beneficiaries. This year, RRH would be collaborating with Friends to Mankind, an international non-profit organisation. All donated books will be collected for their project, The Book Effect which aims to collect 10,000 books to build libraries for various orphanages and refugee schools across Klang Valley. To kick-start the initiative, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be pledging 1,000 books and visitors can purchase and donate books towards this worthy cause during the 11-day Sale at the designated Red Readerhood corner.

Sushi-making with World Sushi Cup Champions by Norwegian Seafood Council

World Sushi Cup champions Sky Tai and Leon Yap led media participants in a hands-on sushi-making class organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council at KDU University recently.
