BreadTalk and Toast Box Now Opens at UMLand Headquarters

The two household brands’ training centre cum outlets are now ready to serve its customers at Suasana Bukit Ceylon

BreadTalk (BT), a leading boutique bakery chain in Asia and Toast Box (TB), Singapore’s leading Nanyang Coffee chain, opened both of its new stores  at Suasana Bukit Ceylon – UMLand’s Headquarters.

The outlets are the first coffee shop and confectionery store at Suasana Bukit Ceylon that will serve the population of nearby offices, surrounding residents and tourists. Patrons can grab their favourite cuppa as early as 7.00AM up till 10.00PM on weekdays and 9.00AM to 10.00PM on weekends and public holidays.

“We are truly delighted that for 2018, we have opened a total of four stores for both brands on top of our existing stores in Klang Valley; namely Toast Box Paradigm Mall, Toast Box Subang Skypark, Toast Box Zenith Lifestyle Centre, Johor Bahru and BreadTalk’s first ever concept store in Avenue K.

And at the start of this year, we have also successfully further opened a total of nine stores for both BreadTalk and Toast Box; namely Suasana Bukit Ceylon (BT & TB), Plaza Low Yat (BT & TB), IOI Mall Puchong (BT & TB), Gateway@KLIA2 (BT & TB), and UMLand Seri Austin, Johor Bahru (TB). I am also thrilled that in Q2 2019 we will open our flagship store in Star Boulevard, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng which will house both of our brands.

Our focus this year is also to grow the BreadTalk brand in Malaysia as we see positive growth for the brand. This is in line with our plan to expand our brands’ footprint nationwide as we are constantly exploring potential sites for our expansion; especially in high footfall traffic areas and major towns so as to increase our brand presence with the consumers.” said Freddie Lee, Executive Director of UML Lifestyle at the media event. 
The event was graced by the presence of, YBhg Tun Musa Hitam, Chairman of UMLand YBhg Dato' Ng Eng Tee, Executive Deputy Chairman, UMLand, Mr. Dennis Ng Yew Khim, Group Managing Director, UMLand, Mr. Freddie Lee, Executive Director, UML Lifestyle Sdn Bhd.

In addition, the two stores in Suasana Bukit Ceylon will also serve as a training ground for new recruits of BreadTalk and Toast Box as well as an R&D facility for both brands.

Customers can also enjoy a “Buy Three Free One” promotion in conjunction with the opening of the BreadTalk concept store.

Toast Box will also be having a promotion where customers can enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee from Singapore’s leading Nanyang Coffee Chain at RM 1.90 up till the 28th of February 2019. With a minimum spending of RM 15 at the outlet at Suasana Bukit Ceylon, customers will receive a RM5 cash voucher.

Sushi-making with World Sushi Cup Champions by Norwegian Seafood Council

World Sushi Cup champions Sky Tai and Leon Yap led media participants in a hands-on sushi-making class organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council at KDU University recently.
