MR DOLLAR Steps Up To Offer Aid In Support Of White Flag Project #KibarkanBenderaKamiBantuSegera

MR DOLLAR, a subsidiary of MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad, steps up its humanitarian efforts to support the White Flag project via its initiative #KibarkanBenderaKamiBantuSegera, starting from today to 14 July. Through this initiative, MR DOLLAR will be distributing 1,000 food packages daily to those living within a 2km radius of MR DOLLAR  stores throughout Peninsular Malaysia. The White Flag Project was started by concerned netizens to urge struggling households to raise a white flag, as a signal for help.

The food package consists of cooking oil, instant noodles, tea and coffee, biscuits, sweet creamer, and condiments. Throughout the campaign period, MR DOLLAR allocates 1,000 packages to be distributed on a daily basis. All 42 MR DOLLAR stores will be participating in this campaign.

Speaking of this campaign, MR D.I.Y Group’s Vice President of Marketing, Andy Chin said, “As a family man myself, I understand the struggles of the current situation, especially when one is unable to put food on the table. With #KibarkanBenderaKamiBantuSegera, we hope that we can do our best to help affected Malaysians weather through the storm.”

“We urge all Malaysians to take part in supporting their families, friends and neighbours in this movement. By coming together as one, we can make a huge difference in each others’ lives. As a homegrown enterprise, MR DOLLAR will reach out to those in need as much as where and when needed,” added Ong.

To participate in this movement, needy families may raise a white flag outside their homes, capture and share its photo to request for assistance via WhatsApp at +016 -7711079. Upon receiving the photos, MR DOLLAR’s customer service personnel will reach out to the recipients to arrange for delivery of the food package. Families, friends, and relatives of needy families may also submit the requests on their behalf.

In support of the White Flag Campaign, MR DOLLAR extends help to families in need. Malaysians can participate in the campaign by sharing a photo of their neighbours/relatives/friends’ homes with a white flag to request for assistance.

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
