Callie Unveils Its “Nature Collection” High Quality Surgical Face Masks

Rentas Health Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for Callie face masks, unveiled its high-quality surgical face masks series at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur today.

Guests-of-honour officiating at the event were YB Datuk Seri Ir Dr Wee Ka Siong, Minister of Transport Malaysia and YB Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia.

Titled the “Nature Collection, the new face mask series draws its motivation from the Great Nature with three variants – ‘New Wave’, ‘For Evergreen’ and ‘Blossome’. They are inspired by the ocean, abundant forests and floral life themes, respectively, to keep Malaysians fashionably safe amidst the Covid 19 pandemic and beyond.

Callie’s CEO, Ms Kelly Teoh explained the new collection is an enhancement of their basic face mask series. Apart from fine-tuning design elements and improving protection mechanisms, Callie also improved its performance in terms of sustainability, from engineering reusable packaging, to using greener components.

“We are excited to present this new range of “naturally comfortable masks” after months of consumer research to understand the needs of the market. People desire their mask not only to be of top quality, but comfortable and stylish as well - ideally one which would reflect  their personality, and don for any occasion - be it outdoor, for work, at social events etc. Masks should also make one feel good and confident when wearing it.  The Nature Collection masks sport earth-toned hues and progressive aesthetics which offer a sense of chic warmth, naturalistic energy and joyful vibrancy to their wearers,” enthused Teoh.

Despite drops in Covid cases in recent weeks, Teoh foresees demand for quality masks in Malaysia would continue to rise. “The role of facial masks will still play an important role beyond the pandemic as people are realising that keeping hygienic and clean should be an everyday affair and not when a health crisis hits.

“Today, face masks have become an essential item and a big part of our everyday life. All augur well for the potential growth of face masks business in line with the new normal," Teoh added.

According to media reports, as of early January 2021, 90% of Malaysians were wearing masks when appearing in public places during the Covid-19 outbreak, up from 55% in late February 2020. This reflects the discernment and consciousness of Malaysians to keep safe aligned with the government’s call for practical control movements and encouraging Malaysians to keep wearing masks and social distancing with stricter penalties.

While the market is inundated with cheaply-made 3-ply masks of dubious make and quality, Callie stands unique as a quality-assured 4-ply surgical-grade fashionable mask brand designed for maximum wearability.

Callie believes when it comes to face masks, protection is the ultimate priority as substandard face masks are really pointless.  The company has invested in its own fully-Malaysian R&D facilities to ensure its products meet international technology, quality, safety and manufacturing standards. Callie masks have received a host of recognitions from local and international bodies including the Medical Device Authority (MDA), the Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD), the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the Conformite Europeene (CE) Mark, SIRIM, and the ISO 13485:2016 certification

Callie masks provide up to 99% filtration efficiency against micro and sub-micron particles, bacteria and viruses, with high hydrophobic capabilities to safeguard against bio-fluids and droplets.

Callie masks’ uniqueness lies in its detailed aesthetics and design. The inner layer, in particular, is created with an extra soft polypropylene spun-bond non-woven material, which differentiates Callie masks from many of its counterparts. Made with hypoallergenic material, and specially designed to absorb humidity and enhance breathability to alleviate irritation, it’s gentle on the skin with soft skin safe materials to minimize chafing and reduce impact on skin during wear.

Other guests present at the event today were representatives from MITI, MATRADE, Embassy of Argentina, Belgium, Hungary, Indonesia, United States and etc

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
