Launch of Private@The Chow Kit- Room Service With A Twist

Closed borders and regulatory restrictions have significantly hampered the fortunes of hotels; big and small, high-end and budget alike; all around the world. At the same time, many KL-ites have been unable to dine outside their homes as they fret over the potential for COVID transmission in packed restaurants and bars.

As part of current MCO restrictions, hotels are allowed to operate on a limited basis with guests permitted to book staycations or shorter intra-day “Work from Hotel” arrangements provided travel restrictions are complied with. Under this prevailing framework, award-winning KL boutique hotel, The Chow Kit, is launching PRIVATE @ The Chow Kit, a unique room-service offering where guests enjoy the comfort, privacy and safety of intimate guest rooms designed by Brooklyn-based collective Studio Tack and award-winning cuisine concocted by CNN’s Best New Restaurant in Asia.

Available from Valentine’s Day weekend onwards – Friday, 12th February – patrons may book these special stays which will stress minimal, but impeccable service in order to reduce touch points and interaction with staff and other guests. During this MCO period, each guestroom may only be booked by a maximum of two people – perfect for romantic getaways! Guests of PRIVATE @ The Chow Kit will also be able to avail themselves to a delectable cocktail and aperitivo program devised in partnership with Shawn Chong, South East Asia’s best mixologist.

In order to comply with MCO restrictions and to enhance the safety of guests and staff, clientele of PRIVATE @ The Chow Kit will register for their rooms, select and pay for their meals prior to arrival. Dishes will be delivered by visored, masked and gloved servers at set intervals and guests have the option of extending their stay beyond the set three-hour period at a 50% discount to prevailing overnight rates. Service requests and additional orders may be placed using the guest’s personal phones and customization of the residence’s décor is available for special occasions.

There is no premium charged for the exclusivity afforded by PRIVATE @ The Chow Kit – in-room dining is offered at the same prices as if one were to dine below at The Chow Kit Kitchen and Bar. Furthermore, guests at the private dining residences are able to tailor their experience and set the mood as they see fit with the ability to play their own Spotify playlists via their personal devices on the guest room’s interactive televisions. REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
