The aesthetic artwork for this campaign is expected to provide visibility of VMY 2020 and promote Malaysia to the domestic and ASEAN market.

According to Datuk Musa Yusof, the campaign is also one of Tourism Malaysia's Quick Win programs and strategies to address the Covid-19 outbreak. "It is hoped that through the policies and programs of the government, coupled with private sector initiatives and offers, it will be supported at the consumer level," he said, adding that Malaysians can use this benefit to travel locally.

The interior of the aircrafts has a vibrant look and feel with images of food, culture, beaches, ecotourism, art and atmosphere. “We are pleased to be part of another milestone in the tourism industry, specifically with regards to Visit Malaysia Year 2020. The convenience one gets at Subang airport is like no other. It only takes approximately about 15 minutes from the check-in counter to the security check area and into the departure hall. With Kuala Lumpur and many other attractions just a few kilometers away with affordable transportation, it is indeed an idle airport to land and start your journey with no hassle. Moreover, domestic travel is the new way of travel as many millennials and foodies prefer travelling locally to experience our national culture and diverse cuisine. We trust that with this launch, it will certainly help fulfil the government’s agenda to stimulate growth in tourist visits through tourism”, said Firefly CEO, Philip See.

The visuals focus on Firefly’s direction for 2020, Firefly Discovery which consists of 6 pillars. Firefly wants every passenger to experience every sense that a human has to enjoy the journey and make it well worth. See It connects to places, things and people, Hear It connects to local entertainment, what’s in, what’s happening and what’s new, Sense It ropes to the beach, food, garden, park, arts and atmosphere, Feel It binds to the journey, enjoyment, satisfaction and fulfilment, Touch It links to arts, batik, shopping items, museums and Taste It chains to local food and beverage.

Firefly Branding Manager, Khoo Sian Chun said “The inspiration behind Firefly’s Discovery campaign is speed, energy, curiosity and adventure. While Tourism Malaysia’s VM2020 evokes friendliness, colour, beauty and nature, to reflect the country’s diverse local culture. When putting together the different logos and elements, we have to ensure that it conveys the same message, that is, to discover the undiscovered of Malaysia.”

He added that colour is an important element in the livery’s design, which incorporates warm shades of red and orange to represent Firefly’s Discovery, and cool tomes of blue and green for VM2020. These colours were selected to create a visually balanced look and feel, as well as to create a strong brand connection and image recall for passengers.

The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets and 4 kiosks,
