HOMEDEC, Malaysia’s longest running home exhibition, opens its doors from today till Sunday, 21st April — bringing you the latest innovative ideas, products and services in home designs and renovation — at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Estimating around 80,000 visitors, HOMEDEC will house more than 400 exhibitors with over 1,100 booths, which will showcase exceptional products, services, designs, and solutions that guarantee visitors with only the best for their homes.

Furthermore, there is something special in this year’s edition of HOMEDEC – and that is putting the spotlight on the growing trend of short-stays through the popular HOMEDEC Showhome, themed “HOMEDEC Short Stay” in collaboration with HostAStay Berhad. Here, you'll find workshops and tips which will help you with both your home designs and home investment projects!

“Whether you are looking to do up your property to generate extra income through short stay rentals, or a homeowner seeking to rejuvenate into your very own resort, HOMEDEC is your answer!

The two units of Showhome, designed together with HostAStay using products found exclusively at HOMEDEC, demonstrates how you can maximise and beautify your home with stunning designs and utilitarianism. This time round, the Showhome is not only a source of inspiration for homeowners, it is also where our strategic partner, HostAStay, will be conducting workshops to show you how you can transform your home into an oasis of peace and tranquillity while earning a passive income from it!” said C.I.S President Dato’ Vincent Lim during the HOMEDEC KL Opening Ceremony this morning.

HOMEDEC has always endeavoured to remain relevant in the hearts and homes of all Malaysians and this year it pays homage to the one thing Malaysians love most — food! The new HOMEDEC Live Kitchen will feature a host of delightful culinary programmes and foodtasting sessions conducted by celebrated chef, food writer and TV personality Martin Yan, and friends. Visiting HOMEDEC all the way from San Francisco, the affable Chef Yan will be providing visitors with the chance to experience HOMEDEC’s specially curated masterclass on cooking tips to serve healthy and tasty meals for friends and loved ones.

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches.
