Lexis Hotel Group Sweeps Multiple International Awards in Mumbai, India

The Lexis Hotel Group kickstarts the year bold and victorious as the premier hospitality brand brought home five prestigious awards from the 27th Edition of the World HRD Congress, which was hosted at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai, on 15 to 17 February 2019. 
The World HRD Congress witnesses top leaders and experts from over 133 countries convening to discuss the latest advances and evolving trends in Human Resources Management and Development. The highlights of the event are the awards programs, namely the Business Leader of the Year Awards, the 13th Employer Branding Awards and the 6th World Women Leadership Congress & Awards, which are held to recognize the achievements of those who have made a mark in their respective fields. Ms Mandy Chew Siok Cheng, the President of the Lexis Hotel Group accepted all the awards in person.

The Business Leader of the Year Awards, presented by Business Television India (BTVI), gives welldeserved recognitions to business leaders who have most effectively shaped their business success, delivered outstanding growth and contributed to the well-being ofsociety. The Lexis Hotel Group was awarded “Most Preferred Resort of the Year” while Ms Mandy Chew Siok Cheng, the President of the Lexis Hotel Group was conferred the award for “Most Admired Hospitality Leader of the Year”. The Global Best Employer Brand Awards is one of the most credible awards accepted by the industry, and after an extensive selection process by a jury of industry experts, the Lexis Hotel Group was chosen to receive the award for the “Best Corporate Strategy in Line with Business” and Ms Mandy Chew was named “Best Corporate Strategy Officer”. 
While the World Women Leadership Awards recognizes and appreciates the profound role played by women as leaders, executioners, and decision makers in shaping the future of the region and nation. Every year, they award women who embody the qualities of leadership in displaying active, creative and integrative efforts in achieving the best possible results in their enterprise or industry, and this year they chose to honour Ms Mandy Chew with the “Women Lifetime Achievement Award”, making her the first and only recipient from Malaysia to receive this accolade.

Sushi-making with World Sushi Cup Champions by Norwegian Seafood Council

World Sushi Cup champions Sky Tai and Leon Yap led media participants in a hands-on sushi-making class organised by the Norwegian Seafood Council at KDU University recently. Norwegian Ambassador Gunn Jorid  Roset and Asbjorn Warvik Rortveit, Norwegian Seafood Council’s Regional Director, South-East Asia, also joined in the session, learning sushi techniques from the world-class sushi chefs.
