Kicking up the hype in Penang JD unveils latest King of Trainers store at Gurney Plaza

Ending the year on a high note, JD Sports has officially opened the doors of its second store in the beautiful and culturally rich city of Penang located strategically in Gurney Plaza, the island’s most popular mall.

Customers  in attendance for the opening day got to explore a range of some of the world’s leading sports fashion brands at the brand new store. Also present were some of the Penang’s most fashionable locals such as Anerly Fang, Clarence Wong, Jestinna Kuan and Julene Khor.

The official launch of JD King of Trainers Gurney Plaza brings the total of JD stores in Malaysia to a whopping 11 stores. The location covers an area of 9,670 square feet making it the largest store for the brand in Penang. JD Gurney Plaza houses the latest in sneaker trends with selections such as the Adidas Falcon, Puma RS-X Toys, Fila Disruptor 2, Nike Air Max 97 Gel along with a collection of JD-exclusive designs and colourways.

“The new store cements the brand’s presence in Penang. Local consumers here can continue to enjoy the JD brand with its engaging retail experience and exclusive products. As a community filled with trend-setters and fashion enthusiasts, we hope to continuously provide Penangites with the latest in trainers, clothing and accessories within a location that is ideal for them.
