LAC Malaysia Launches Wellness Community as Malaysians Embrace Active, Community-Driven Health

In conjunction with World Health Day 2026, LAC Malaysia officially launched the LAC Community, a new platform designed to bring people together through movement, education and shared wellness experiences.

As wellness culture continues to evolve, more Malaysians are looking for sustainable ways to stay active and well. This matters, especially as national data indicates that about one in three Malaysian adults are physically inactive.

Held at PJ Collective, the launch event marked the first community touchpoint under LAC’s broader wellness platform, bringing together wellness enthusiasts for a morning centred on movement, meaningful connection and everyday wellbeing. Through curated activity sessions and a smoothie booth featuring beverages infused with LAC supplements, the gathering reflected LAC Malaysia’s belief that sustainable health is built through small, consistent habits supported by community, lifestyle choices and nutritional care.

The LAC Community goes beyond supplementation, creating a platform for individuals to learn, move and connect through expert-led activities and shared experiences that support healthier habits over time.

The launch programme featured a morning of guided community activity sessions, where participants rotated across strength training, rope flow and propulser speed training.

“The launch of the LAC Community marks an important step in our commitment to supporting healthier lifestyles beyond supplementation. Through this community, where people can come together through movement, education and shared wellness experiences, we hope to inspire more individuals to take a proactive approach towards their wellbeing. Ultimately, our goal is to build a supportive community that empowers people to sustain healthier habits for the long term,” said Patrick Fam, General Manager of LAC Malaysia.

The initiative also reinforces LAC Malaysia’s role as a trusted wellness partner by supporting individuals not only through products, but through education, community participation and everyday lifestyle adoption. A series of monthly community activations will also take place, featuring sessions focused on strength training, guided pickleball gameplay and footwork and other accessible movement experiences, with updates to be shared via @laccommunity.my on Instagram.

Building on this momentum, LAC Malaysia will be bringing back FitVibes 2.0 by LAC in June 2026 after its success in 2025, expanding the community experience into a larger-scale, movement-led event. As the next major community milestone under the platform, FitVibes 2.0 will feature a curated line-up of fitness sessions, wellness workshops and recovery-focused activities, reflecting LAC’s holistic approach to everyday wellbeing.

The key highlight of FitVibes 2.0 will be LAC’s pickleball championship, spotlighting one of the fastest-growing sports globally and reinforcing its rise as a social and accessible way for individuals of all fitness level to stay active. The combined event aims to bring the community together through active participation, while promoting sportsmanship, connection and a shared commitment to healthy living.

Those interested in joining the LAC Community and participating in upcoming initiatives, including FitVibes 2.0 by LAC and LAC Pickleball Championship 2026, can follow @lacmalaysia and @laccommunity.my on Instagram or visit www.lacworldwide.com/my for more information and updates. Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association (MHCEOA): New Tax Policy must have a transition mechanism.

Leong Foo Yew, President of the Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners Association (MHCEOA), has called on the government to provide reasonable buffer periods and support measures for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the implementation of the e-invoice system and the Sales and Service Tax (SST). This appeal aims to alleviate the dual operational pressures faced by businesses and prevent inflationary effects in the construction sector from being passed on to consumers. The MHCEOA recently held a luncheon to celebrate its 33rd anniversary, during which the 16th term (2025–2028) council members were sworn in. In his speech, Leong highlighted that the industry is currently grappling with administrative and financial challenges due to the simultaneous rollout of e-invoicing and SST. He noted that these additional compliance burdens come at a time when SMEs are already struggling with rising labor costs, wage pressures, and regulatory expenses—pushing many into even...
