Lagenda Properties Community Development: National Sportsmen Datuk Misbun Sidek & Dollah Salleh Launch Lagenda Privilege Club to Give Back to B40 Segment

Lagenda Properties, a pure play affordable homes developer is intent on addressing the underserved B40 segment and giving back to the community.

Its townships are concentrated in secondary towns, targeting the high percentage of B40 groups in these areas. Based on a breakdown of income level, Perak sees 58% of its population falling under the B40 category, with Kedah at 57%. Recently, Lagenda Properties and Bina Darulaman (GLC) inked an MOU to develop affordable housing in Sungai Petani, Kedah, to be launched in 2022, demonstrating a commitment to these underserved areas.

“As a developer, we offer suitable housing at the right price which is below RM200,000, but we also build purposefully, where community is central to the success of the township and project,” said Dato Jimmy Doh, Managing Director at Lagenda Properties.

Apart from making homeownership affordable, Lagenda aims to provide quality lifestyle with community and public based facilities which are not usually attainable at this price point.  Backed by homes with a quality build, the townships include facilities such as clubhouses, football fields, badminton courts, swimming pools, cycling and jogging tracks.

As one of its many community focused initiatives, Lagenda Properties has recently launched the Lagenda Privilege Club that aims to “give back” to the community through savings. The incentives include additional 3% rebates in house prices, and RM1,500 referral rewards.

“Word of mouth and referrals have been a powerful way in which our buyers encourage friends and families to stay in an environment that promotes wellbeing and quality lifestyle. Therefore, the Privilege Club’s rewards are a meaningful and tangible way to reward Lagenda homeowners as many influence others to acquire Lagenda’s properties. Community living depends largely on building an ecosystem of trust as well, and giving equal opportunity to everyone, despite their economic circumstances,” Dato Jimmy added.

Datuk Misbun Sidek (top) and Dollah Salleh (bottom), play active roles in giving back to the community.

“We are working closely with national sportsmen Datuk Misbun Sidek and Dollah Salleh to help us steer the community development. Datuk Misbun was spotted as an early talent in his childhood and was given a chance to train at the best facilities in Kuala Lumpur. We would like to emulate this and give opportunities in the form of sports clinics and local competitions to encourage the community towards active, healthy living as well as to hone young talents,” he further added.

At the launch event of the Lagenda Privilege Club national badminton champion Misbun Sidek said  “I'm very pleased to be a part of such a beneficial initiative. Lagenda goes the extra mile, providing so much more, which is unheard of, in the usually basic, affordable segment. This agenda of championing the underserved is important to me, as people's matters are close to my heart.”

Dollah Salleh went on to add “In addressing sedentary habits brought on by lockdowns, Lagenda has demonstrated an eagerness to promote active lifestyles to homeowners and I am keen to do more for the community here. The Privilege Club is a welcome bonus that gives back to the community, this will certainly make a difference for the B40 segment.”

“Affordable does not have to mean ‘no-frills’. We are happy to give more to our buyers and reward them with additional perks. We find that this segment of people truly appreciate such benefits as it makes a real difference to them. It is a rewarding feeling for us and encourages us to do even more,” Dato Jimmy adds.

Other privileges of the Privilege Club include discounts at Peekaboo Child Care Centre, Coral Bay Pangkor Resort, D Hotel, Sitiawan Bolts & Nuts Hardware - with more partners to come on board. Please visit: www.lagendaproperties.com or call: 03-7931 9573/ 013- 733 5722 for further information

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets...
