Nothing beats
a New Year’s Eve celebration by the sea. Saying goodbye to another year, over
3,000 revellers in Negeri Sembilan rang in 2020 in style with astounding
entertainment, pyrotechnic displays and mouthwatering culinary offerings at
Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson.
The festivities began with a
sumptuous feast at Roselle Coffee House as hotel guests packed the buffet lines
to sample the gastronomical offerings comprising international and local
favourites crafted by the hotel’s master chefs. Diners with a taste for the
Orient also had the option to savour mouthwatering delights from the Land of
the Rising Sun at Umi Japanese Restaurant. Both venues kept the festive spirit
alive with live music and party favours to keep the celebration going
throughout the night.
In between, deejays pumped out the
best upbeat house music and kept the crowd entertained with seductive scores
and electronic dance bangers. Fully-decked in their party best and armed with
stacked glowsticks, revellers danced and shuffled to the energetic beats.

Later in the evening, hotel guests
joined other enthusiastic partygoers and began gravitating to the beach area,
making beelines to the main stage area of Lexis Hibiscus’ New Year’s Eve
concert. As soon as the sun set,
revellers were greeted with a thrilling fire show performed by the hotel’s
sports and recreation team.

Port Dickson’s celebrations was packed to the hilt with a gathering of music
aficionados. In-house bands, Reflection and Elite Trio sang classic jams, pop
tunes, holiday music and infectious tunes, encouraging sing-alongs and the
wildest cheers as they took turns on the stage.
At the stroke of midnight, a
spectacular panoramic display of fireworks lit up the night sky amidst
synchronised background music, inducing gasps of joy, dazzle and wonder. Loud
shouts and exclamations of “Happy New Year” brought the revelry to a joyous
end.
