WeChat Pay MY Introduces the Smart Way to Start Ordering Food

WeChat Pay MY, one of the most popular mobile payment solutions, is spurring the digital payment age in Malaysia with yet another innovative solution, the first-of-its-kind ‘Smart Order’ service. The new digitized ordering is aimed at making hang-out sessions at favourite ‘mamak’ joints seamless and effortless.

Since its introduction in Malaysia in 2018, WeChat Pay MY has been tirelessly working to provide Malaysians with an application that is strongly focused on user experience. With Malaysia being ranked fourth globally in mobile social penetration, WeChat Pay MY understands that introducing new solutions that link convenience, ease of use and a payment platform all in one place allows users to enjoy peace of mind and expediency in their daily routines. After showcasing a host of payment service solutions that integrate seamlessly into users’ lifestyles, WeChat Pay MY is now delivering on that promise by bringing the ‘Smart Order’ service to life.

Smart Order is a more practical and convenient way for mamak outlets to serve their clientele. Customers can simply order food from the in-app menu and pay for it directly all at the tip of their fingertips. The food will then be served by the waiters, shortening order times and increasing efficiency.

“Mamaks in Malaysia have always been an area rife for cash disruption, and through Smart Order, WeChat Pay MY is hoping to take the lead and be the pioneer in heightening the ‘mamak’ experience for customers,” said Jason Siew, CEO of WeChat Pay MY. He further added that the goal is to allow WeChat Pay users to avoid having to wait for a waiter, or long lines for food. Instead, orders and payments can be made via the WeChat Pay app. This will sequentially give users more opportunities to use WeChat Pay MY for easier and more seamless payment transactions.

WeChat Pay MY envisions a convenient and rewarding lifestyle for both its users and merchants and will continue to leverage its payment platform's experience, technologies, and abilities to offer users an excellent mobile payment experience to ease everyone’s daily life.

The Smart Order service will be available in participating merchants around Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang. For more information, log onto WeChat Pay MY’s FB page at: www.facebook.com/WeChatPayMY.official/

REVAMPED SURIA KLCC SIGNATURES FOOD COURT FULLY REOPENS WITH ATTRACTIVE PROMOTIONS

When is a food court more than just a mere food court? The answer: When it is designed and constructed according to the best practices that ensures hygiene and unbeatable customer experience, but also incorporate the new norms brought about by Covid-19. This is the philosophy of Suria KLCC’s Signatures Food Court, which is completely new, enlarged, and made safer, all at the same time.  The “original” food court dates to 1998, when the mall opened its doors for business. The last major renovation was in 2005 with extra seating added in 2015 bringing the capacity to 1200. The latest redevelopment, which incorporates the space formerly occupied by Parkson, the total number of seats were increased to over 1,500 but still leaves customers with more elbow room as it considers the need for adequate physical distancing.  More space for distancing is just part of the picture, as the overall dining experience has been upped several notches. For example, from 22 food court outlets...
