Hamadaya, a brand from Japan is now officially available in Malaysia. The 200-year old time-tested family recipe sauce brand is being locally produced by Bidor Kwong Heng, a Malaysian manufacturer with Halal and International food manufacturing standards.

When we first thought of introducing Hamadaya sauces to the Malaysian market, we realised that it has to be a Halal product. Malaysia, with its strict Halal accreditation practice, was the ideal hub for Halal food production. Also, there is an ongoing demand for halal-certified Japanese products so we are very excited to be the one bringing these award-winning sauces into the Malaysian market. We first introduced the sauces in Malaysia back in October 2020 and the response has been amazing so far.”
Hamadaya sauces are flavourful and versatile that can jazz up many different kinds of basic meals, and are used in various cookings from Asian to Western dishes. In fact, Monde Selection and the International Taste Institute have recognised Hamadaya 200-year-old, a time-tested recipe for its supreme consistency and premium taste.
Commenting on the launch, Hironari Hamada, the 7th Generation Brewmaster of Hamadaya who recorded his congratulatory message in a video said “As the brewmaster, I strive to ensure that the sauces' consistency, flavour, and aroma are at its best. The best ingredients are used to make quality soy sauces that fit the tastes of the people in this region,”

With the rights and license from Hamadaya Japan, Bidor Kwong Heng produces Hamadaya sauces in Malaysia using the technology transfer along with the 200 year-old family recipes.
Heritage Foods has strategically leveraged both companies' synergies to bring Japanese halal sauces to Southeast Asia through their alliance with Bidor Kwong Heng and Hamadaya.
With prices ranging from RM 8.90 per bottle, Hamadaya Sauces are now available at AEON, AEON Big, AEON MaxValu Prime, Village Grocer and Jaya Grocer supermarket. Customers can also purchase it online on Lazada and Shopee.
Hamadaya sauces will also be available at The Store, Cold Storage, Giant and Mercato supermarkets by mid of April.
