WINNER DYNASTY GROUP DONATES 1 MILLION MASKS TO MALAYSIAN SCHOOLS AND CITIZENS OF MALAYSIA, TO OFFER SAFETY AND PREVENTION FROM THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee, Founder & Chairman of Winner Dynasty Group, at a press conference today, announced a donation of 1 Million masks to public schools all over Malaysia as he believes it is his responsibility as a citizen of Malaysia to contribute to his country.
Mrs. Chia Sang Sang, Deputy Chairman of School Management (Naik Pengerusi Lembaga Pengelola) at SJK(C) Kheng Chee, Puchong, approached celebrity figure Ms.Excella Chong, also in the Higher Management Team of Winner Dynasty Group, as the school was in need of masks but the prices for the masks were too high to be funded by the school while the supply of masks were scarce in the market. Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee generously donated to SJK(C) Kheng Chee with a total of 2,000 masks, sufficient for every student. This will indefinitely reduce the risks of school children being infected by the virus which is Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee’s primary concern at the moment.

With issues of the coronavirus on the rise, Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee will continue to donate to schools and the public in need of masks all over Malaysia starting with areas that has had reports of Covid-19 cases. An issue arose when Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee ordered 1 Million masks from a supplier at the heavily marked up price of RM1.70 per piece, upon the delivery of the first batch of mask, it came to realization that the supplier did not have proper documentation for said masks whilst they have been marketing themselves to have legitimate documentation. Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee mentioned that he bought the masks regardless of the very high price of RM1.70 per piece, because of his concern for the spread of this virus and wants to shelter it from school students especially. But hiking up the price to double its regulated price and not having legitimate documentation is unjust which is why Dato’Seri Liow Soon Hee is urging suppliers with legitimate documentation and reasonable pricing to approach Winners Dynasty Group so that they can achieve their goal of 1 Million mask donations.
A police report was made on this matter to seek justice, as Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee could donate twice the amount, should the prices be lower.

Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee said “I feel like it is my responsibility as a citizen of Malaysia to give back to my country. I am only concerned for the safety and welfare of my fellow countrymen and wish that masks suppliers do not hike up prices for masks as it is unfair and it makes it extremely hard for me to donate more. It is wrong for traders to take advantage over outbreaks, which is why I have decided to have this press conference”.

Earlier in February, Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee through his charity foundations, Pertubuhan Integriti Nicky Liow Malaysia and Yayasan Winner Emperor Sedunia donated 76,920 masks and medical supplies to Covid-19 infected areas in China. As a humanitarian, Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee who has been working closely in with businesses in China (especially Xingyi City and Wuhan) in the past decade, has extended his support to them and now to Malaysia as well.

Dato’ Seri Liow Soon Hee only aims to bring awareness to the public and to work collectively with Malaysia as one, to address this pressing issue in Malaysia where masks are heavily priced. This way different organizations can contribute more to help the country fight against this fatal virus.

Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association (MHCEOA): New Tax Policy must have a transition mechanism.

Leong Foo Yew, President of the Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners Association (MHCEOA), has called on the government to provide reasonable buffer periods and support measures for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the implementation of the e-invoice system and the Sales and Service Tax (SST). This appeal aims to alleviate the dual operational pressures faced by businesses and prevent inflationary effects in the construction sector from being passed on to consumers. The MHCEOA recently held a luncheon to celebrate its 33rd anniversary, during which the 16th term (2025–2028) council members were sworn in. In his speech, Leong highlighted that the industry is currently grappling with administrative and financial challenges due to the simultaneous rollout of e-invoicing and SST. He noted that these additional compliance burdens come at a time when SMEs are already struggling with rising labor costs, wage pressures, and regulatory expenses—pushing many into even...
