“We want to continue to spread the love of reading to the people of Malaysia with the opening of our eighth bookstore in Malaysia and third new bookstore this year alone. We are always looking out for new methods to increase the reading habit of Malaysians and creating new concepts like this tunnel bookstore is part of this effort. The unique structure and concept will attract readers and non-readers alike to the bookstore and our prices will hopefully convert them to pick up a book or two. Books and knowledge are a huge factor to change the world. We are proud to have the support of Sunsuria Berhad, who is fittingly one of the leaders of the property developers to bring our bookstore as an anchor tenant to Sunsuria Forum @ 7th Avenue. This is sure to become a beloved spot to visit and we hope that we can encourage the surrounding community to be excited with our presence and spend quality time with their friends and family picking their favourite books,” said Dipak Madhavan, Chief Marketing Officer of BookXcess.
“We believe Sunsuria Forum will be the next ‘talk of town’ with child enrichment and family-oriented elements embedded into the concept of Sunsuria Forum. Apart from the choices of F&B and amenities, we believe that BookXcess will be beneficial to the surrounding communities especially young families who see the importance of cultivating the joy of reading in their daily lives. Hosting FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BookXcess in Sunsuria Forum is an achievement towards developing an integrated development comprising of a lifestyle mall, SOHO Suites, Corporate Office & Serviced Apartment that is underway,” said Mr. Wong Chiew Meng, Senior Project Director of Sunsuria Berhad.

Red Readerhood, BookXcess’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm at BookXcess Sunsuria Forum will match the donation of every customer who donates books. Initially started in 2011, Red Readerhood gives back to communities by working together with local organisations to give books to those in need as everyone should have access to books and learning, regardless of their status. Customers can choose their selection of books to donate from the designated Red Readerhood corner at the bookstore. The underprivileged children from Cahaya Kasih Bestari and Rumah Amal Bistari will receive the donated books in hopes that the children from the homes will receive knowledge through the initiative and will be inspired to chase their dreams.

Visitors can enjoy 20% off titles on top of the discounted books during the opening weekend from 31 October – 3 November 2019. During the opening weekend, visitors who spend over RM50, RM100 and RM150 will be entitled to selected promotions such as free BookXcess membership, free coffee or tea at Café Wolf along with RM10 off or RM20 off their next purchase. In his speech, Leong highlighted that the industry is currently grappling with administrative and financial challenges due to the simultaneous rollout of e-invoicing and SST.
