The people of Sunway Mentari rejoices as Texas Chicken
-- one of the region’s largest quick-service chicken restaurant chains -- ups its
ante with the launch of its first drive-thru outlet in the Klang Valley,
bringing guests the added ease and convenience to access their meals while on
wheels. This is Texas Chicken’s second Drive-Thru restaurant in Malaysia,
following the opening of its Sungai Petani Drive-Thru last year.
Speaking at its Grand Opening event today, Dato’ Jaya
Tan, Chairman of Envictus International Holdings, said, “We are truly excited
to celebrate this new milestone in our company’s journey. After six years since
the opening of our first restaurant in Malaysia, we hope to elevate the dining experience
of our customers by offering more drive-thru restaurants for their convenience.
This also underscores our commitment in growing our business in Malaysia, which
will naturally contribute to the national economy and create more job
opportunities for the locals.”
Envictus Holdings currently operates over 50 Texas Chicken restaurants in Malaysia and has opened five new
restaurants this year, including this Drive-Thru outlet in Sunway Mentari.
“Malaysia
is one of the Top 5 countries for Texas Chicken globally, and we are very proud
to have Envictus as our franchise partner in this market. 2019 and 2020 will be
exciting years for Texas Chicken as we launch our new global brand positioning
– and Malaysia will be one of the showcase markets,” said
Yang Ming Ong, Vice-President, Texas Chicken Business.
Texas Chicken’s constant evolution of its business
model to cater to the lifestyles of Malaysians is a testament of their dedication
and passion in embracing the Malaysian culture as they share a deep affinity
with the locals for the love of good, fresh and quality food.
“Today, over 90% of Malaysian households own a car,
thus it is a natural progression for the Texas Chicken family to expand our
horizons further. With people’s hectic lifestyles in this day and age, we fully
understand that consumers are constantly on-the-go and are looking for faster
service and a hassle-free experience to help them get through the day. Hence,
we are confident that our new outlet will be very well-received by consumers,
especially those who are craving for our juicy chickens and delicious biscuits,”
added Dato’ Jaya Tan.
