Quayside Fiesta is Back with International Food Fest at The Buzz.ar in twentyfive.7 Kota Kemuning

Running for the fourth time this weekend, Gamuda Land’s Quayside Fiesta is back at twentyfive.7 with a new look, bringing the community on a global gastronomic tour with the International Food Fest and the opening of The Buzz.ar.

The Buzz.ar is a placemaking initiative by Gamuda Land. Located within the vicinity of twentyfive.7 Property Gallery, The Buzz.ar is a hangout hot spot for eating and relaxation at twentyfive.7. Besides an open space to host long term community activities such as farmers market, potluck and family games, The Buzz.ar features an approximately 2.5-acre Football Talent Academy as well as The Loop which is a 600m pet-friendly running, jogging or cycling track around the lake that is soon to be opened for public use.

Throughout the two-day event to be hosted at the Buzz.ar in twentyfive.7 Property Gallery, delectable cuisine from Malaysia, Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, India, Italy, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Mexico, United States, Hawaii, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be on offer, along with other family activities such as Instagrammable foodie backdrops, food challenges, flyboard & jet ski show, belly dancing & fire performance, moonlight cinema, band performance, Teh Tarik performance, flashmob, DIY workshops and lucky draw.

Grounded on its value of “a town is a community”, Gamuda Land places great priority in “getting the places right” by mindfully bringing the key components of a town together. Besides having abundant community spaces, Gamuda Land’s twentyfive.7 is also relentless in placemaking. Hosting the Quayside Fiesta is a prime example of actively managing public spaces at twentyfive.7, bringing people together as well as to promote community health and well-being.

In addition to the Quayside Fiesta, twentyfive.7 is also one of the township projects that supports Gamuda Land’s CNY approach of “Rooted in Joyfulness”. With the “Tree of Hope”, a cherry blossom tree taking the centre stage of Gamuda Land’s participating sales galleries, a wish list from its partnering welfare homes were placed on the tree for customers to drop by, pick up and return with a gift. For twentyfive.7, the gift presentation by the kind-hearted to the beneficiaries will be held on 27th January 2019.

These placemaking initiatives serve to create conducive platforms for people to get to know one another, live and play together and ultimately form a tight-knit community that will look out for each other.

Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association (MHCEOA): New Tax Policy must have a transition mechanism.

Leong Foo Yew, President of the Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners Association (MHCEOA), has called on the government to provide reasonable buffer periods and support measures for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the implementation of the e-invoice system and the Sales and Service Tax (SST). This appeal aims to alleviate the dual operational pressures faced by businesses and prevent inflationary effects in the construction sector from being passed on to consumers. The MHCEOA recently held a luncheon to celebrate its 33rd anniversary, during which the 16th term (2025–2028) council members were sworn in. In his speech, Leong highlighted that the industry is currently grappling with administrative and financial challenges due to the simultaneous rollout of e-invoicing and SST. He noted that these additional compliance burdens come at a time when SMEs are already struggling with rising labor costs, wage pressures, and regulatory expenses—pushing many into even...
