New wavy potato chips bring a tasty tide of change


A new brand of potato chips will entice Malaysian consumers with a new wave of crispy, crunchy snacking experience accompanied by flavors loved by many savoury snack eaters.

URC Snack Food Malaysia, the manufacturer of a heritage brand “Jack ‘n Jill”, and Japan’s leading manufacturer of Snack food “Calbee” will be introducing “Jack ‘n Jill Calbee” potato chips to snack lovers. This will definitely be a hit especially with movie and video buffs, and is purposefully making its presence known through pre-movie advertising screenings held at selected GSC Cinemas, in addition to commercials on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and other popular video streaming sites.

The Jack ‘n Jill Calbee Potato Chips comes in two sizes, a 60-gram trial pack (RM 2.85) and a 170-gram family pack (RM 5.95), and offers three flavours – Smokey BBQ, Flamin’ Chilli, and Classic Salted.

The Smoky BBQ gives a sweet and smoky barbecue taste, while the Flamin’ Chilli offers hot and spicy potato chips which are favourite flavours among snack food consumers in the country, while the Classic Salted chips offer crispy potato chips seasoned with salt, a time-honoured favourite among locals.

URC-Calbee uses only premium quality potatoes in the production of the potato chips and runs it through stringent high-quality procedures to ensure freshness and taste. The chips are also specifically cut into a wave-like shape to provide a flavourful well balanced potato chips that allows greater delivery of taste.
