‘Love + Appreciate = Value’ A Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative by IOI Cares

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, IOI City Mall continues its tradition of spreading joy, happiness and smiles to many special guests recently.

IOI City Mall together with IOI Properties, Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Palm Gardens Hotel and Palm Garden Golf Club came together to give back to 100 senior folks, special needs guests and their caretakers from Rumah Victory, Puchong, House of Joy, Puchong, Sisters Of The Poor, Cheras and Persatuan Rumah Amal Murni, Kajang treating them to a sumptuous reunion dinner feast.

The reunion dinner ‘under the stars’ was held at the West Garden Piazza of the mall which included Salmon Yee Sang and other Chinese New Year favourites specially prepared by Putrajaya Marriott Hotel. To celebrate this auspicious Happy Lunar New Year and festive spirit of togetherness, the evening commenced with the tossing of Prosperity Yee Sang with all guests.

“This year’s event is a first collaboration by the mall with the hotels and golf club as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility effort. It brings us great joy to see the many smiles and hear warm laughter amongst our senior friends this wonderful evening. Our joint effort is to show love and appreciation for our seniors and special needs guests and that they are valued and not forgotten”. said Chris Chong, General Manager of IOI City Mall.

The guests were also entertained by the Kwong Ngai Lion Dance Troupe who showcased their spectacular acrobatic LED Lion Dance performances featuring 8 colourful lions during the grand occasion! Other performance includes LED Diabolo show with various tricks of throwing to great heights the many muticoloured lit diabolos and skillfully catching them back by young energetic performers.

Earlier, during the day, the senior folks and the special needs guests had a thrilling time shopping for New Year outfits, generously sponsored by Good2U at their outlet here. Goodie bags and Ang Pows were also handed out to the senior folks and special needs guests sponsored by Giordano, Cotton On, Suitable, Caring Pharmacy, HomePro, Tesco and of course IOI City Mall.
